The North Franklin Snowmobile Club has created a scholarship fund to help with college
funding for one recipient per year.


SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED FOR $500.00


The NFSC Scholarship Committee Members are:  Gail Dolan, Karen Phillips, and BJ Bangs.

Eligible candidates:  (In the order listed; i.e., number 1 being 1st choice, etc.) for seniors in high
school going on to further their education in any institute except on-line courses.

      1.
 NFSC members, NFSC member’s children/step-children or children living in household,
           
NFSC member’s grandchildren, step-grandchildren

      2.  Landowners of NFSC Trails.

If no applicants from the above listed sources, then the scholarship will be held over until the
following year; then two $500.00 scholarships will be issued.

This scholarship is to be used for higher education classes (not to include Internet classes).

Payment will be made directly to the college in the student’s 2nd semester.  

There will be a board designated from the club to determine who will get the scholarship.

Applicants shall submit the application and school transcripts, as well as an autobiographical
essay of not more than 500 words.

Members may request an application at a club meeting or by sending a request with a self-
addressed stamped envelope to:  NFSC, PO Box 386, Phillips, Maine 04966.

The deadline for the NFSC Scholarship will be April 30th.  If no applications, essays, or
transcripts are received by April 30th, then the scholarship will be held over until the next year.  
The Scholarship Committee will make a decision by June 1st.
